What’s the first thing you think about when you think of pines?
I think about home. Ocha ( upcountry) Lots of trees. Fresh air. The freedom to roam and explore. Travel. And that’s what Wangu has done. In a an urban setting.
The civil engineer in her would not let her prosper otherwise.
Her’s is the very first Kenyan exclusive DIY website i have come across. She used to blog about fashion at Style by Stylifiq a while back, when she first started doing DIY project. one thing led to another and we now have our very own DIY site.
What i love about her blog is how simple her DIYs are. Granted I’m not abut to go and buy a power saw and the likesbut i can easily improvise and do some of these projects. No pressure.
Here’s something to revamp those common spaces. The local fundi is your friend if you don’t have the right equipment. No cutting leather with kitchen knives tafadhali (please). Sitaki lawama mie (i shoulder no blame).
How cool are these makeovers.
PS.She also restored a seat & did a Moroccan inspired lamp shade
…but you have to checkout her blog for that 😉
And for something more personal.
Not forgetting the fashion enthusiasts.
